10 Little Fingers

10 little fingers standing in a row (hold up fingers)

Wiggle them high (wiggle fingers above head)

Wiggle them low (wiggle fingers holding hands down)

Shake them fast (wiggle fingers quickly while shaking hands)

Shake them slow (wiggle fingers slowly while shaking hands)

Put them behind your back,

Where did they go? (bring hands out and repeat)

One bright scarf waiting for the wind to blow (hold in hand)
Wiggle it high (wiggle scarf above head)
Wiggle it low (wiggle scarf by knees)
Shake it fast (wiggle scarf quickly)
Shake it slow (wiggle scarf slowly)
Put it behind your back,
Where did it go? (bring empty hands out)

Raindrops! Raindrops!

Raindrops! Raindrops! (make trickling motions with fingers)

Falling all around

Pitterpatter on the rooftops (drum fingers on head)

Pitterpatter on the ground (drum on ground)

Here is my umbrella (pretend to open umbrella)

It will keep me dry!

When I go walking in the rain

I hold it up so high! (hold up umbrella)

Thumbs up!  Thumbs Down!

Thumbs up!  Thumbs down!                     Point both thmbs up, then down.

Thumbs dancing all around the town.      Dance thumbs around one another.

They're dancing on your shoulders,         Dance thumbs on shoulders.

They're dancing on your head,                 Dance thumbs on head.

They're dancing on your knees,                Dance thumbs on knees.

Now put them both to bed.                      Fold arms and put thumbs in

                                                                 armpits.  Pretend to go to sleep.

BRRINNNNG!                                             When alarm rings, wake up!

(repeat)

Wiggle Fingers

Wiggle fingers, wiggle fingers, (wiggle fingers)            

Right up to the sky.  (raise arms agove head while wiggling fingers)

Wiggle fingers, wiggle fingers, (wiggle fingers)

Wave them all good-bye.  (wave hands and hide them behind back)

Wiggle fingers, wiggle fingers, (wiggle fingers)

Right into a ball. (put hands into a ball)

Now, throw them into your lap, (place balled up fingers in lap)

But do not let them fall!  (drop hands down)

Shake it/Wiggle it

This is a great thing to do with shakers, bells, scarves, body parts, shape cut-outs, and more:

Shake (or wiggle) your ______high,

Shake (or wiggle) your ______low,

Shake (or wiggle) your ______ fast,

Shake (or wiggle) your ______slow

We played the shape Hokey Pokey, and before doing the hokey pokey, we'd find the shape cut out on the floor.  Then, we'd do wiggle your triangle high, etc.  Here is the pattern of my shape cut outs:shapes.doc

 Two Little Fireflies

Two little fireflies land on my hand (blink fingers of both hands together).

One named Sally (blink left hand only).

The other named Sam (blink right hand only).

Lights on Sally (spread left hand open).

Lights on Sam (spread right hand open).

Lights off Sally (make left hand a fist).

Lights off Sam (make right hand a fist).
