Won't You Be My Valentine?
Welcome Song: Come Along
Activity (great idea from Lindsay): Have children put stickers on valentine cards and sign their name in the from section (or have someone help them sign their name). I put "someone special" on the "to" portion of the card. I collected the cards after they decorated them and then distributed them at the end of the storytime. Of course, some of the children were perplexed as to why they did not receive the card with their own name on it.

Peek-A-Book Time is a storytime designed for ages 12-36 months. My intention is to teach parents early literacy activities they can do with their babies on a day to day basis, and to try to demonstrate those activities in the storytime. I pass out a sheet to the parents at the end of each Peek-A-Book Time. It includes everthing we have done that day. There are two examples attached. Besides the examples below I have also done very simple science experiments in conjunction with Vicky Cobb's book, I Fall Down, we have made refrigerator magnets with their name, we have made simple books for them to take home.
